Ideas for Next "The Sims 2" Expansion?

Maxis put up a survey on "The Sims 2" website (they have reached the number of entries they wanted) about expansion packs for "The Sims 2." I got to the site to late and did not have a chance to take the survey. The folks over at The Sims Zone, did get to and saved the details about which expansion pack ideas were listed in the survey.
The expanision pack ideas included Trip of a Lifetime, Run Your Own Sims Business, Movie Director, Spooked & Haunted, and Do It Yourself. Out of all the ideas, Trip of a Lifetime sounds the most interesting to me. I know many simmers did not like the "Vacation" expansion pack for "The Sims," and the trip expansion pack sounds like it might be a better, improved remake (like "Nightlife" for "Hot Date"). The others just don't appeal to me. Sims Business? Perhaps. Movie Director? Spooked & Haunted? Nah, neither of them fit with my playing style. Do It Yourself? I'd rather have something different.

Sims 2 is a VERY COOL GAME!! Sims Vacataion is, I would say, not really worth the money. When your Sims are on vacation, they pretty much do the same thing as usual, just a few things are different. I get bored easily playing this. Sims Unleashed is pretty fun, you get to have pets and buy stuff for them, but you can’t really do THAT much stuff with your pets. Sims Makin’ Magic is really awesome, I totally suggest buying it, I don’t get bored playing it, and there are lots of cool new things. The regular, old Sims is really fun if you don’t already have Sims 2! If you have neither Sims or Sims 2, I suggest Sims 2, because it is MUCH higher quality and SO MUCH COOLER! I can do MUCH MORE stuff. SIMS!!!!!!!!!!
Sims 2 is very fun and I recommend it for ALL AGES, well, probably 11 and up. It has a lot of kind of intense romance, if it were a movie, I’d rate it PG-13. You can get old Sims on ebay for very cheap, but don’t get Sims unless you already have Sims 2, because you will still think Sims 2 is so much better and never play the old Sims. The sims 2 is the best but i think one way to make it better than it already is is by makeing a verson kind of like the old sims unleashed so we can have pets,and buy stuff for them. That would be really cool don’t cha think so.
I agree with the other comments as well. i do think though that they should make an expansion like unleashed for the sims 2. It would be better as well if instead of buying furniture from buy mode, there could also be a place where you could buy them downtown or something. As well as when they are having the baby they go to the hospital etc.
I can’t wait for the pets edition to come out. The unleashed expansion pack was the first one I purchased for the original Sims game, and I adored it. Though I usually started disliking my pets (for attacking my characters, peeing everywhere, etc.) the interactions were wonderful and it was a solid expansion pack.
I’m age 12 and I have some great ideas to had to the sims. Does anyone know how to contact maxis with these ideas?

I love the sims to and i think that it would be good if you had an expansion pack like ” sims , out and about ” and in this game we would be able to go to work with the sims and to school and the would be more jobs like teachers , singers , modles and loads cool stuff like race car drivers. Another good one would be , lets say you were at you friends house and you wanted to play the sims you would play but you cold both play so you would be living in your sims house and so would your friend but on a different mouse
I love the sims 2 and I think whoever makes these games are freakin genius!! But I reallly would be reeaallyyy happy if Maxis would make like a sims amusement park. I would kill for that expansion. Like it would have huge roller coasters and they would have to pay to get in and when they ride the rides it would make there fun go up and stuff oh my gosh that would be so cool! and they sell like cotton cangy and stuff ! eek let me go before I pee my pants! lol jk.

Yer i agree it would be cool to go to school with the young ones and a preeshchool with the babys and toddlers!!! and going to hospital with your baby when you have your baby, and you can break your leg e.t.c.
You can buy rollercoaster tycoon for theme parks, i have roller coaster tycoon, it’s way detailed then theme park for the sims.

Um ok i think it would be cool if u would have like the baby and stuff but also more than just cats and dogs. wat about horses, cows, pigs, chickens, lizards, guinea pigs, stuff like that. that’d be cool stuff pack and you could build stables and pastures and cages and stuff.
Dude for the Sims 2 they should make a new expansion thats like all hollywood so they can become famous, and should like have alcohol and drugs, i mean base it on Rockstar by Nickelback. Yea thats what i’m talkin bout…
Sims is a very fun game. But sometimes it bores me. I think it would be cool if they added an expansion pack where the children & toddlers could go to school & you could go with them. It seems strange, but I think it’d be rather entertaining. What I don’t like about the game is that toddlers can’t interact with other toddlers.
i think the sims 2 sports expansion pack would be really cool. they could start careers as pro tennis players, footballers and stuff and best of all get new aspirations which are needed badly cuz im sick of the ones they have now. either that or a makin magic expansion pack cuz that one was my fav expansion
I think if there was going to be a Vacation type expansion pack for sims 2, then there needs to be a way that we can make hotels that people can actually stay at. They bring their luggage, sleep in the hotel then go home. Then we could make our own hotels in the games. It would be cool to be able to make places like doctors offices, dentist offices, schools, churches, and more options for stores that actually would work and our sims would interact correctly with them. I love building structures, but it sucks when I want to make a certain store or office and cant without downloading other things that people make.
For sure there needs to be a Job Stuff expansion. that would be awesome… GO SIMS!
Wouldn’t it be real cool if they made a sims stable i think that would be ace because loads of people love horses and it’s an extra job. I already love sims pets and want sims to be so much more about animals.
I have 2 expansion pack ideas for The Sims 2:
- The Sims 2: Dream Jobs. Here, the players’ Sims may follow their dreams and pursue any type of job, becoming an actor, doctor, dentist, psychologist, architect, engineer, news reporter, professional athlete, vet, singer, choreographer, show host and even porn star and model. Gamers may also follow their Sims to work to see what they do best when they are not around, and watch wacky outcomes and interact with strict employees and bosses. Earning new job-specific items is a big feature in the game, since they are rewarded to the player after he or she has successfully completed a certain stage in their job. Players could also create dream houses of up to 10 floors. There is also a new aspiration: Commitment.
- The Sims 2: People Pleasers. In this game, the players’ Sims could interact with over 200 neighbours and characters from the city, and host special get-togethers and gatherings. There would be over 20 selectable lots and players would be able to uncover new ones while they progress through the game. This expansion pack would bring new items like a massage chair, disco ball, over 10 collectibles and toys for the children, cell phones and a camera for taking in-game pictures.
i think that they should make a xpansion pack called Nursery Time with tons of new items for your toddler and babies i think it would add so much more meaning to the game and it would be a major seller to because of all the websites you have to go to , to download all that cute baby stuff
I think that they should remake the sims superstar so its availible for the sims 2 I have the sims 1 superstar and loved it but as I now have the sims 2 I cannot play it =[.
Also they should do one called SchoolTime where you can choose to go to school with the kids and determine their behaviour in lessons and in the canteen and should have cliques. \It would be fun!
If u go on wikipedia, it says there is a sims 2 movie under way!
I totally agree w/ Amy And Jessica. I would be cool to have an expansion-pack like that. I hope they do make a sims were you can go to work and school w/ them. Like if your a teacher, that would be FUN.
i LOVE the sims 2 games but i think you should be able to create all sorts of different things….like creating disabled people?…blind, deaf etc….and i think you should be able to create mythical creatures too….like gryffons and stuff and control them
…otherwise the game is the most awesomest one ive played….keep them coming!!!! 
dam right the sims is the best game ever and i like it so much that i sometimes play it every day. my parents dont like the sims so thay’ll all ways say “your gonna turn into a sim” but they dont know what their mising. the funnest part about sims is building the house for me and decorating it .
it even started to make a layout for the next sims game if there’s gonna be one. i was going to name it “sims:EVERYTHING”. because it was going to have all the stuff from the sims,sims 2, sims bustin out, sims urbs, sims 2 pets, sims castaway, and any other sim game i didn’t hear about, and the game would have thing in it from the computer sims game too!
i think sims 2 should have a washing machine and a tumble dryer a draining board a heater an xbox 360 and some famouse people onit

omg i love this series of games…but i think u should be able to like give ur sims lil tattoos on their arms and streaks in their hair and stuff
and be able to create blind ppl…that would be mad 
and parhaps pearsings on the stomach, eye brows and all for teens and adults 
but otherwise i would totally rate this game the #1 reality game (R)
well i have all the sims 2 but they still need more stuff like hospitals,the vet for ur pet,and other jewerly like a belly ring,and teens should be allowed to get pregnant too,plus it needs a preschool for the toddlers,and plus the sims 2 bon voyage was kind of lame i mean no sharks in the ocean and the sims 1 vacation was awsome,plus it should have ski resorts. COME ON PEOPLE its not that hard….
I would like you to creat a sims go the church expantion; with a christian society,a church collection apparel,add bibles in the bookcase,childern bible storie,and church building with heros that arm themself with the word of god to fight the powers of warlocks and witches. I have most of the sims games and I would have loved to see a church society in the Appartment Life Limited Collection.
dude…i recon u should be able to create like more real stuff…sports, etc, i mean,,,a dude cant get hit in the balls or any thing…make it more real!!! besides that its top game
hey, I am an enormous fan of The Sims 2 game and therefore before you launch The Sims 3 to the stores I would like to ask if there is any possibility of creating The Sims 2 Super Star or something like that. I am sure it will be fun, please make more expansions for the second game of The Sims, don’t rush for The Sims 3!
i love the sims 2 and i’ve started collecting it from december 2007. i think that for the next sims, there should be something where you can own things like a fashion line or a mega big company. i would own a fashion line since i’m good at designing.
