New "SimCity Societies" Screenshots

Thursday October 11, 2007
Electronic Arts released more "SimCity Societies" screenshots along with the announcement that it has partnered with BP Alternative Energy. Cities will simulate the effects of a society's choices on the environment. The goal is show gamers the effects of global warming by including a system to monitor the carbon emissions of cities created. What's the point of monitoring without options? Environment friendly power sources will be available. They will cost more (just like in real life). It'll be a trade off that can be taken. It's up to the gamer whether or not they try to make a green city or allow their latest city to become an industrial wasteland.
