"The Sims 2 Apartment Life" Expansion

I thought "The Sims 2 Free Time" was going to be the last expansion after "The Sims 3" was announced. "The Sims 2 Kitchen and Bath" stuff pack came with a flyer announcing the next expansion would be "The Sims 2 Apartment Life." Wow! Apartment living! This one could really change the dynamics of "The Sims 2." Not much is known about "The Sims 2 Apartment Life" thus far. I'll keep my eye out for news and screenshots. Yay! This sounds as though it could be great!
I’m keeping an eye on this one; I’m not sure what to think about it just yet. It has the potential to be really interesting and fun, or else a real dud. But I am glad that there is going to be another expansion.

They have a baby gym they play with on the floor and a bouncy chair with animal sounds, plus all the kids playground stuff and also Witches YAY i love it cant wit til Aug/Sept when it finally comes out!!!
I read at Wikipedia that they took all the baby items out of the game. Why would they do that?
