The Sims Cash Card

Friday November 14, 2008
Prepaid cards for "The Sims 2" Store run by Maxis are now available. No more credit cards will be required to get items from the official store. Great news for the younger gamers without a credit card. Also a good idea for a stocking stuffer or gift to go along with an expansion pack.

I haven't bought any objects from the store. There hasn't been any that I haven't already gotten in a stuff or expansion pack that I absolutely needed. Any out there buy anything yet? I'd like to see them lower the prices before I seriously considered using the store.

I haven’t bought any, either. There hasn’t been anything that *really* tempted me; some of the spooky stuff is kind of nice and I like some of the castle stuff, but I can find free downloads like those. Plus, I wouldn’t use them very often anyway – only in certain houses or neighborhoods. And as you mentioned, it’s all quite pricey. If the prices were considerably lower, I might consider buying some of it, but right now it’s just too expensive.
