"The Sims 3" Review

Monday June 8, 2009
I almost couldn't believe my eyes when I had my copy of "The Sims 3" in my hands. Didn't feel real. It was finally here. Years of waiting. Was it worth the anticipation? Yes. Is it perfect? Nope. But it passes the most important test. It's fun. Waiting to get through the Sims sleeping at night, not so much. I'm hoping a patch will fix the speed control issue.

How are you enjoying "The Sims 3?" Things you don't like? Things you love? Stuff that surprised you?

Good review. I thought that I was the only one that noticed the speed thing. I hope that they fix it in a patch.

I already had a guitar stuck on my sim! And when guests visit, sometimes they change body shape as they move through the house.

Otherwise, great fun. I just found out how to find students’ homework, and motherlode works just as in sims 2.

I bought the Sims 3 about 4 days after it came out. We left it at the store, unfortunatley, and if that wasnt enough, my graphic card cant even handle the Pixel Shader. I have to spend about another 50 bucks just to buy a more up-to-date graphic card that can hold Pixel Shader 2.0. -sigh- It sucks. I should’ve just taken it back to the store, but I cant now. Im stuck with it V.V

I’ve been playing the Sims 3 since June 2nd and I have not had any major problems with the game. My sim however does have a problem. She was making drinks on the bar and the drink tray is now stuck on her hand. I even tried to remake drinks that didn’t work. When she is done making drinks she carries the drink tray in her right hand. The tray is stuck on her left. Not sure how that happened.

Please help!!

To be really honest im soooooo dspointed in the sims 3. You have ot wait ages for your sim to finish work and their sleeping time. I dont like the lay out either. The sims 3 ruins everything that is good about the sims. you cannot make you own town. I loved maing my own town building houses and seeing how it looked. All that i enjoyed about the sims is gone. I am going to put it away and go back to the Sims 2 what a waste of money is all i have to say. :(

I was please and disappointed with The Sims 3. I got it June 2nd, installed it, found out my graphics card wasn’t anywhere near where it needed to be so I had to buy a whole new one. Then when I finally got to play the game, I was pretty happy with it and it was fun, but I really don’t like how you can’t build your own town, or how you can’t go into any of the community lots. Also building relationships is extremely difficult and the speed thing sucks. I’m thinking about going back to the Sims 2 =/ Too bad I completely uninstalled everything! =[

I do agree that the time thing is a problem. I love the sims 3 its fun, raising a family, and builing the family home and even if i could be bothered, i make my sims excell in their job.
One time one of my sims had octuplets, that was a challenge…
