A playable demo for "Cities XL" is out and ready to download from multiple web sites. "Cities XL" is Monte Cristo's new city building project. You may know them as the publisher's of "City Life," a city builder based on social classes.
The anticipation for "Cities XL" is high. It could be that 'serious' city building, we've been waiting for. Developers state you'll, "Build the metropolis at your dreams." The screenshots I've seen are incredible.
The exciting part of the city builder is the online component. You will build your city by engaging and working with other Mayors. "Cities XL" demo gets you started by setting up your online account and web page. The online play will not come for free. Monthly subscription fees will be coming.
My computer isn't cooperating and won't play the demo. When you get it downloaded and installed, let us know how you did. Oh, and check out the ShackNews for their experience with the demo. It'll be good for a chuckle.
