Time to put away the "Cities XL" demo for a little bit and try "Tropico 3." Previous "Tropico" players, don't delay. Get the demo. I played through the tutorial and a mission (I need work on my dictator skills). Wonderful, challenging game.
Newbies to the "Tropico" series: You are the dictator of an island. Your citizens lead primitive lives when you first meet them. It's all up to you how the island advances and how it makes its money. You may be a dictator, doesn't mean you'll be kept around. Citizens can drive you out if you do not meet their basic needs - churches, food, etc.

I’m reading of a lot of problems with the Cities XL demo so I may take up on Tropico, as light as it appears. I’m really hoping for a true Sim City 5 to come one of days.
