Want to become a permanent part of EA's upcoming SimCity reboot? While the developers won't exactly create a statue in your honor, at least not yet, you can have some say in at least one aspect of the game. A contest is currently underway to decide the name of a diner in the game.
Unfortunately, it's not enough to think of a clever name, but you'll also have to encourage your friends and family members to vote for it as well via text. The highest vote getter at the end of the competition (July 31st) will have the name used in the game, providing that it doesn't infringe on any copyright or trademark.
So Denny McDonald and/or Wendy Arby, you can't use your name. That also rules out BurgerTime, Hungry Jack, and Salt 'n' Pepa as potential candidates. The current leader, at only 96 votes (as of this writing), is "Brian's Burgerbits." I don't know about you, but I'd hate to have that name win. Sorry Brian and the 95 people who apparently owe Brian a favor, but there are much better candidates out there. They just need some publicity and votes.
