Most sim sites zip up their skin files. So you must have knowledge of a zipping program, like WinZip. This How To will show you how to unzip your files for WinZip in classic mode.

Time Required: under 5 Minutes
Here's How:
- Find the zip file you wish to install. Make sure you have scanned it for viruses, just to be on the safe side.
- Double click the file to open it.
- Winzip will automatically open the file. You will see a line of icons on the top of winzip window. Click the Extract icon.
- A window will appear asking where you would like to put the file. When installing an object choose the following path: c:\program files\maxis\the sims\GameData\Skins\
- After choosing the location the extract window will go away, and you file is in the correct folder.
- Close out the program.
- Next time you run The Sims, your downloads will be available.
Tips:
- Remember to always back up, especially before you install a large batch of files. This way if there is a problem, you can easily go back to the files you had installed.
