How To Install Objects in 'The Sims'

Here's How:

1. Click on the link for the file you wish to download.
2. A window will pop up asking you what you want to do with the file. Make sure you have "Save this file to disk" selected.
3. Click OK.
4. Choose a location where you would like to store the file.
5. Click Save.
6. Once the download is complete you will see a window with the choices: Open, Open Folder, and Close. Click Open.
7. Winzip will automatically open the file. You will see a line of icons on the top of winzip window. Click the Extract icon.
8. A window will appear asking where you would like to put the file. When installing an object choose the following path: c:\program files\maxis\thesims\downloads\
9. After choosing the location the extract window will go away, and you file is in the correct folder.
10. Close out the program.
11. Next time you run The Sims, your downloads will be available.

Tips:

1. Create a special folder for your sim downloads. If you plan on downloading a lot, it is best to keep some type of order. I suggest organizing files by the website they came from.
2. Always back-up!
