Have a house you absolutely love and want to share it with your friends? You can easily share your homes. This was written for those using Windows.
Time Required: 5 Minutes
Here's How:
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Browse to your "The Sims" directory.
- You'll need to open the UserData folder with the same number as the neighborhood you house is in. This is for those with an expansion pack, users without an expansion pack go to userdata folder.
- You'll see a list files and folders, open the houses folder.
- There will be a list of files with the extension .iff. The numbers in the file represent which lot they are on. So if your house is on lot 3, you want to share house03.iff.
- Now you can zip up the file or simple email it to your friend.
Tips:
- If you use custom items in your house, the person you are giving the house to won't be able to see the items unless they also have them. So you will have to create a shopping list of items and where they can be found.
