On the official "SimCity 4" website you can generate terrain to use for individual cities. This is a fast way to make new terrain for cities, compared to generating them by hand in "SimCity 4."

Here's How:
- Browse to the "SimCity 4" site and go to the Terrain Generator.
- Use your mouse and click on the part of the country you want to make your terrain from, and click Zoom.
- Zoom in until you see a box on the map.
- Select your city size.
- Move the box around to choose the area to generate terrain from.
- Click Create City when you are satisfied. Select Save.
- Browse to: \My Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\Downloads if the window doesn't open to that folder. Remember: You cannot change the name of the file.
- To use the terrain, start "SimCity 4."
- Click the Import button. You can see your terrain by clicking the arrow.
Tips:
- Currently only terrain can be generated from a map of the United States.
- The terrain generator makes maps for individual cities, not for entire regions.
- Creating terrain can be slow depending on which time you are accessing the site, due to large amounts of users.
