Use The Sims Menu Editor

By Courtney Marchelletta, About.com

Tired of the same old actions available from your objects in "The Sims." You can change the menu options (or action) when you click on the object. They will continue to do the same animation, at least changing the menu option will give you a variety of actions. The Sims Menu Editor is an official download, that allows you to do just what I described - change the menu option of an object.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: Few seconds for each object

Here's How:

  1. Download The Sims Menu Editor from Maxis. You must register a user name (or use existing) with Maxis to download the program.
  2. Install The Sims Menu Editor by running the file you downloaded.
  3. Launch The Sims Menu Editor through a shortcut or choosing the option to start program at the end of the installation screen.
  4. Click Select and browse to the object you'd like to change.
  5. Double-click the menu options listed in the menu text area.
  6. Enter the new menu option. Keep in mind the Sim will continue to perform the same action. If it was Clean before, the Sim will clean when you select that action, even if you change it to 'make dirty.'
  7. Click Save.
  8. Repeat as needed for objects you want to change.
