Exchanging "The Sims" families can be fun! Learn how to use the family files you downloaded!
Time Required: Few Minutes
Here's How:
- Download a family in .fam format. May be in zip format. If you download a family from "The Sims Exchange" it will download to the correct folder.
- Export the .fam file to /thesims/userdata/import/
- Start "The Sims."
- Go to the neighborhood you want to use the family in.
- Click the Import Button. Family will be imported and ready to play.
Tips:
- Family files (.fam) usually include both the family and a house.
- There is only one import folder, and can be used with all neighborhoods.
