To take advantage of casts and charms in The Sims Makin' Magic, you'll have to visit Magic Town to earn Magicoins and buy ingredients. For non-magical Sims, they can buy items to cook, visit the snake charmer, and take a spin on the rides.

Here's How:
- As a Magical Sim: Magical sims can visit Magic Town by jumping into the hole (magic portal) that came with the introductory box to magic.
- Non-Magical: If you have Sims who are not magical, and do not have the magic portal to Magic Town, you can take a balloon ride to Magic Town.
- Use your phone to call the balloon taxi to Magic Town. A few moments later, your Sim will be picked up.
- Choosing the Lot: After you decide your method of visiting Magic Town and complete the task, you will be presented with a screen of lots you can choose from. Mouse over the lots to read a description of what the lot has to offer.
