Top 10 "The Sims" & Expansion PacksIn February of 2000, "The Sims" took the gaming community by storm. The game has a huge fan base, and is as popular as ever. In this game you control a family of Sims. You take care of their needs, relantionships, job and more. "The Sims," "Living Large" expansion pack, and "House Party" expansion pack are sold together as "The Sims Double Deluxe." Potential owners of the game will love the new additions and become addicted quickly. Previous owners will enjoy the new tool to create skins and new objects. As much as I love "House Party," I am a bit disappointed in it. It's a lot of work picking up the pieces after the party, so I don't throw parties very often. For me, the new group activities, and quicker way to change clothes was worth the money. "Hot Date" is the first expansion pack to change gameplay. It adds a Downtown, where you can take your Sims on dates, go shopping, and have dinner. Even if you end up not liking taking your Sims downtown, you'll enjoy the new interactions. The theme this time is vacations and letting your Sims enjoy themselves. An island that the whole Sim family can escape to is added to the game. The Sim kids are part of the focus in this expansion pack. New interactions and objects are included especially for them. The fifth expansion pack, "The Sims Unleashed," will be dedicated to pets. Sims will be able to play with pets, visit a pet store, and go to cafes and markets. The add-on will also add the world of gardening to the game. Sims will have to buy seeds at the store, and take good care of their garden. "The Sims Superstar" offers a goal of working through a career and adds new features and objects you'll wonder how you lived without. Even if you don't want to become a superstar, you'll enjoy the new objects, like the satellite dish. The final expansion pack for "The Sims" gives Sims magical ability, if they choose to develop the skill. Your Sims can visit Magic Town for ingredients, quests, and visit the carnival. Collection 1 includes the "Unleashed" and "House Party" expansion packs. Collection 2 includes "Makin' Magic" and "Hot Date" expansion packs. This collection includes the "Superstar" and "Vacation" expansion packs. |
