I must admit, the title of this news was inspired by Heather from SimFreaks to let us know that Ahn has created three fabulous cheerleaders with the help of Jerome and Fionn's meshing skills. Jerome has created a new cheerleader skirt mesh with pom-poms! Not only that, but they have a new real head for women! This unfortunately does NOT mean Fionn is out of retirement yet but that SimFreaks has held back on us for some cruel, sick reason (just kidding). So, head over and get your SimFreaks or USD (University of San Diego) cheerleader now!

Also, if you liked the Mellow Yellow bathroom, SimFreaks has made a new set of paintings for it based off the the Two Flowers painting set... 2 paintings in one tile.

New Wall and Floor Sets

Old Soul Sim has some great new Wall and Floor Sets, including doves, moody blues, roses, angels, and more! Screenshots are provided and these are too good to pass up!

Original Movie Posters

KillerSims has added some new original movie posters to the 4th floor of the Shopping Center. Some are Oscar-award winning movies! Also, be ready for the influx of rabbits to the Shopping Center, in anticipation of Easter.

Hello Kitty

What's up with Hello Kitty? Is this icon still that popular? I guess I am in the dark, because more of this theme is hitting Sims sites. Livin' Around the Sims has a new Hello Kitty television, to match with the Hello Kitty theme, made by Makodream. And Mac Simmers don't forget to sign the petition to have House Party on Mac!

SimLane is back in operation it seems. Coaster's is open and even updated with a new Merry-Go-Round, a Walnut Bookcase, and computers that play either House Party or SimCoaster.

Cracked IFF files

Ever wanted different animations for objects? Well, now that is possible at SimPrograms! They have learned how to crack IFF files to read any animation in the game, providing tons of new options to make new working objects. Speaking of new working objects, SimPrograms has added a kickable trashcan and flowers that male Sims can use the bathroom on. Take a look and download them on the main page, or the objects page.

Jenny's Sim Site Ends

One of the first SCN Members and an amazing site for initiative and innovation, Jenny's Sim Site has come to an end. A message on Jenny's popular site explains that she is not updating anymore and that she is willing to hand over the site to an able webmaster.

I received a very poignant and well-written letter about Jenny's Sim Site that I want to share (thanks Georgette)...
"Remember when bathrooms were merely color variation of the Maxis bath? Well, Jenny came up with a sink and toilet that was one of a kind. Remember when different side tables were non-existent? Jenny came up with a glass-topped table that made a difference. These are just two examples of the innovative stuff Jenny's site gave to the Sims fans."

New Ladies Skins

Sim Tranquility has new skins: leopard-print sweater, female clubber, and pretty-n-pink. And for the young girl's room, the "Leonne" chair has been added.

Updates by the Florist

The Sims Florist has updated two new bouquets on the Other Flowers page and a new Ficus Tree. If you are ever interested in reading a glossary of flower terms, the meaning behind the colors of flowers, or need to find a birthstone or birthday flower, there is an excellent resource on the Flowerspeak page!

New House Party Houses and More

Beatniksha's Funky Cribs has updated with some great new houses for House Party! The houses are filled with House Party objects, walls and floors; there are currently two new ones, The Industrial Groove and The Tikki Party Hut.

Also, there is a new layout to help everyone navigate better around the site. Instead of the list of house names listed down the side, now there are lot #'s and you can click on these to see what houses are there. Funky Cribs has also affiliated with The Garden of Sim to bring the potential for some great collaboration. And to top it off,
Beatniksha's has just recieved their first award for an outstanding site from 4 Black Women with Voices. It's a great award and it's wonderful that someone showed an interest and appreciation for the hard work that goes into maintaining this site. Congrats!

Bead Doors and Celestial Bedroom Updates

Sims Kindred Spirits has added two new black bead doors to the Building Objects page and updated the great Celestial Kids Bedroom with a new rug and chair!

Objects and Wallpaper Sets

SIMply Gifts has 30 new objects, such as a new object in Hello Kitty, 1 in Winnie the Pooh, a new Easter object, and more! Also, find 2 great, new wallpaper sets, 13 paintings, and a new set in Toys with 7 Objects and a painting from Celebrity Sims.

SimsLoft's Panel Collection

SimsLoft has created a new way to decorate your Sim walls - the panel collection. More colors are being added on Thursday, so check back for more updates!

1st Annual Simmy Awards

In honor of all the Sims sites out there, The Sims Community Hall has given out awards for sites that really deserve it. For more info, award categories, and how to nominate a site, check out the awards page!

New at BriSims!

Brigitte has updated BriSims with an interesting futuristic room, called "Circles" that uses a circular theme and offers a new blue couch and chair. There's also a new "Dolphin" tile wallset for the indoor swimming pool hall!

New Faces & Outfits

Nighttime Sims continues their great updating with 12 new faces by Tojah and 7 new outfits in the Party theme. The site is moving soon to a new location, so stay tuned for the new URL!

Backstreet Boys hit 7DS

That's the title of the news section at 7DS - Crash just made some awesome Backstreet Boys' skins in Greed. Claw recently added the Giger dining chair to Wrath. The Fringe set is still in the works but they've added a used TV, soda machine, shower, wall lite, and a towel rack.

WDS Updates

Well Dressed Sim has a lot going on, including new sections, new designers, new staff, and more. First, they have a new Publicity Manager, Sarah Jane, who will assist in writing up those great descriptions at the site and heading up the Photography Dept. Next, Taarna makes her designing debut with 6 outfits for women and girls. Next, they've signed on "The Sim", a Sims tabloid. Finally, they have added WDS Factory Outlet, which is a storage area for their great fashions!

Different Sims has recently added to most of their download sections as well as joining into affiliation with a number of top Sims sites. It's also a great place to find new start-up screens, so head on over!

New from Elstone

For those that haven't visited SIMply for Fun in the last week, they've added a variety of new items. First is the full Nutcracker Suite, Swing Dancers, Latin Dancers, a couple of Vintage Gowns, as well as Elstone's Ball Gowns. There's still more of Elstone's vintage skins and Wheel of Time Series to go up soon.

Also uploaded are various paintings and tapestries, as well as a brand new mesh from Jerome. Elstone has already "dressed" up the mesh with a fantastic 1865 dress for the little girls.
