If you haven't heard of "The Sims Online", please read my review to learn more about the concept and features found in the online sim game.

Popular properties are difficult to maintain. You need a constant cash flow to keep your food stocked and to repair objects. In "The Sims Online" you have multiple options for making cash. Tip jars are just one of the options you have to keep yourself in business.

What are tip jars?

It is customary to tip servers when you receive good service. It is no different in "The Sims Online," whether it is a food service, skills property, or a club. Tip jars are just what you think; jars that are left out that allow you to leave money for the roommates.

Reasons not to a use a tip jar

  • Some sims will feel obligated to leave a tip. This will discourage poorer sims from staying and enjoying themselves.
  • Leaving tip jars in more than one room makes you look desperate.
  • The longer a Sim stays the more money you'll get from the visitor bonus and perhaps, even the achievement bonus.

When owing a tip jar

  • Leave a sign stating the purpose of the tip jar, whether it be for food, drinks, or to just leave what you want.
  • It's better to make them optional, for reasons stated above. But then, no one can make them pay.
  • Leave the jars where people will see them, but not all over the place. Places to keep them include near buffets, exits, and bars.

Conclusion

Tip jars can be a great source of money, which means being able to expand, buy expensive objects, and someday being able to shop! Just don't forget there are other sources, such as pay doors, visitor bonuses, and working with visitors at job objects.
