"The Sims 2: University" is an expansion pack for "The Sims 2." The expansion added young adult status to the game. In the game, not every Sim young adult wants to go to college, but some Sims want to go so badly the desire appears in the Wants panel. Luckily for these teens, it is easy to go to college — they only need to have a D- average in school.

How to Send Teens to College in 'The Sims 2: University'

  1. Enter a home with the teen that you want to go to college. Have that teen use the phone to apply for a scholarship under the College phone menu.

  2. Save and leave the house. Click on the Select College button, located at the top left corner of the neighborhood screen.

  3. Select the college you want your Sim to attend.

  4. Click on the Students icon in the bottom left corner, and then click on the Send Sims to College icon.

  5. A screen titled "Gather a Household Together for College" appears. In this screen, you can move current teens in the neighborhood and Townie teens to a household. By clicking on a name, you can see a picture and scholarship information for that Sim. Use the arrows to add and remove Sims from the household.

  6. When you have gathered the Sims you want to include in a household (you can have many different households), click the Accept button.

  7. The household appears in the Students Bin ready to move into a dorm or private residence. If you choose a private residence, you can either move the students into a new house or merge the created household with an existing one.

As an alternative, a teen Sim can use the phone to Move to College, located under the College menu.

Tips

For the first couple of times that you play the game, create small households until you are comfortable with the workings of college. If you have too many Sims, it's difficult to keep with up with them all — especially the Townies who do not have any skills.
