For all your screen capturing needs. . .
For those of you who take a lot of screenshots (especially webmasters), you know what a hassle it can be trying to take screenshots. SnagIt allows you to take a screenshot with one keystroke, even in DOS programs. There are so many great output options. You can automatically save the screenshot as a jpeg, resize it to a useable size, name it, and add a watermark just by taking the screenshot. Each of the screenshots is saved in a folder or a catalog (your choice), for later use, so there is no need to switch between programs. Just wait for the perfect screenshot, take it, and keep playing. Many times when I try switching out of a full screen game, to paste my screenshot in to Paint Shop Pro, the game will act strangely when I go back into the game. With SnagIt, there isn't a need to worry about this.
Some games do come with a screenshot feature built in. For example, "The Sims" allows you to take screenshots and it will save the picture in the family album. The problem with this is, you can't take a screenshot of the entire window, you are limited to a small area of the screen, and you have to dig around in the game files to find the picture. As a webmaster, you'll enjoy knowing right where you can find your screenshots, because you decide where the captures are saved. This isn't just a good program for webmasters though. I know a lot of "The Sims" fans out there that love sharing screenshots. This will also save you time. The less time you waste trying to save screenshots, the more time you can play your game.
