Description:
Farm Kingdom is a free-to-play farming simulation that is playable directly from within a web browser. As a male or female farmer who resides in a colorful kingdom, you’ll be able to plant crops and trees, raise and breed animals, and customize your corner of the world. You can help clear the way for new plantings by chopping down trees, build stables to house livestock, collect valuable resources, or take a break from a hard day’s work by going fishing.
As with previous farming games, such as Family Farm or Farm Craft, each action you do will earn you a varying amount of experience to gradually unlock more and more tools and building options. You’ll also need to fight weeds and hungry animals, such as moles, snakes, and badgers, to keep your farm from deteriorating over time.
Where Farm Kingdom distinguishes itself from similar titles is that you can not only sell your fruits, vegetables, and crops at the market, but you can also use the ingredients to make various cooking recipes to replenish your farmer’s energy or to send to friends as gifts.
In addition to feeding animals, building structures, planting vegetables, and harvesting crops, you’ll be able to play mini-games. Cooking is one such mini-game, in which you’ll perform hands-on tasks to create tasty dishes. Other mini-games include fishing, mining (which can be used to gather ore to create buildings), and activities to reduce the amount of time spent waiting to gather your fruits of labor. Certain structures will enable you to produce specific items needed to expand your farm, from sawmills and wells to foundries and quarries.
In order to gather the resources you need to keep your farm thriving, you’ll need to exchange groups of five items referred to collections. Collecting five specific types of eggs from your chickens, for example, can be exchanged for gold coins, experience, and copper nails. Each collection offers different tools and helpful items that will allow you to grow and expand your farm.
Your ultimate goal is to keep expanding your farm until you become such a success that you will be the top farmer in your social circle. Visit the farms of your friends or participate in multiple player versus player modes, introducing a competitive spin on the normally cooperative genre. Farm Kingdom will also introduce various events throughout the year, from Halloween themed activities to fishing challenges.
