Description:
Test your wheeling and dealing skills as a Middle-Age merchant in Patrician IV: Gold Edition, a collection of the original Patrician IV and its expansion, Rise of a Dynasty.
You begin the game in northern Europe as a member of the Hanseatic League of traders and merchants. In your quest to become the trading league's leader, you'll need to build your reputation by trading common goods, turning a profit, and then investing in means of production. Once you can afford your very own fleet of ships, you'll then be able to expand your trading to other towns along the coast, growing more powerful in the process.
You can also build a network of roads, purchase land in neighboring territories, and even become an elected mayor. Of course, rival merchants won't take your success lightly, so you'll have to deal with price wars, sabotage, and possible piracy to protect what's yours. The trade system is the heart of Patrician IV and its expansion, with trade routes available between 40 cities on the coast and mainland.
A dynamic weather system and changing seasons will have an impact on your fleet and wagon convoys, adding to the challenge. Play alone against the computer AI or join forces with up to three friends in cooperative play via LAN or Internet.
