"Zoo Tycoon" Description

"Zoo Tycoon" teaches that being a Zookeeper can be both educational and fun. Players manage and build a zoo from the ground up. Animals are bought and breed, shops are built, and entertainment is spread throughout the zoo. The business aspect is a big part of "Zoo Tycoon." Though the game's focal point is building suitable habitats for animals. A handbook gives all the information on biomes and animals needed to create the perfect exhibit. Kids are bound to learn about animals from all types of environments. After all, it is easier to memorize over having to research every time a new animals is bought.

"Zoo Tycoon" Series History

"Zoo Tycoon" for the PC was released in the fall of 2001. A year later, two expansion packs were released, "Zoo Tycoon Dinosaur Digs" and "Zoo Tycoon Marine Mania." A sequel found its way to us in 2004 and in the following years 4 expansion packs. "Zoo Tycoon 2" and its expansions can be bought together in the "Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Collection."

The "Zoo Tycoon" series has received multiple awards from parenting and educational groups. One of those being the Scholastic Parent & Child Teachers’ Pick in 2004.
