Description:
The Cities XL series of city-building simulations continues with Cities XL 2012, which introduces an assortment of new structures that bring the total number of construction items to more than 1,000.
Building on previous entries in the series, Cities XL 2012 has you creating a city from scratch and keeping its citizens happy by managing an economy, addressing transportation needs, developing recreational activities, and creating social services.
You'll choose from 60 maps, each rendered in 3D, with the option to mod the game with built-in editing tools and guides. Among the featured locales are the Cayman Islands, Lake Powell, a mountain township and a desert oasis. Owners of Cities XL 2011 will be able to upgrade their game to the 2012 version at a reduced cost. Cities XL 2012 is otherwise considered a stand-alone release, which means Cities XL 2011 is not required to run the game.
