Pleasure Aspiration
The new Pleasure Aspiration aspires to have fun and lots of it. Their wants are focused on playing games, going on dates, and just generally enjoying everything about Sim life. Sims with a Pleasure Aspiration are shallow. All they want to do is have fun and for this reason, I don't see myself keeping a sim with this aspiration for their entire lifetime. Perhaps for a few years in college.
Turn Ons & Turn Offs
Sims now are turned on or turned off by other Sims by specific things. Turns on include color hair, being a vampire, cologne, and type of clothing worn. What can be a turn on, can also be a turn off. There are a limited number of combinations. Mainly, because I prefer Sims to only be turned on by one hair color. I would have liked to have seen a eye color turn on as well. Otherwise, it's a fine feature that makes a Sim even more unique their tastes.
Conclusion
"The Sims 2 Nightlife" may feel like a repeat for players who played "The Sims 2 Hot Date." It was and is a much needed expansion pack for "The Sims 2." It doesn't add a complete new dimension of play, that may change the way you approach the game, it only changes the way you match your Sims. Two sims you hope to get together, may decide they have other plans once chemistry and attraction is considered. The little features like the turn ons, rugs, cemeteries, garages, and the big ones like cars and dating, offer something for most every type of Simmer. Dating and finding a mate is more fun now. There's a challenge of finding a perfect match (even though the Gypsy matchmaker makes it easier). It's not only for single Sims, families and married couples benefit. Going to Downtown is fun for teens dating or group outings and taking the kids out to eat to give Mom a break from cooking.
Between all the small new features and big ones, that fans have longed for since "The Sims 2" was released, the new interactions (slow dancing!), and animation, this is an expansion pack, you don't want to miss.
