"Kudos Rock Legend" isn't a sequel to "Kudos." It does take on some of features and characteristics though. This time though, you are building a life in the music business. You have ten game years to work your way to the top. You play as the singer of the band and hold auditions to decide on who to hire on. From there it is on to song writing (through a mini-game) and doing your best to get gigs.
