I avoided Facebook at all costs. Then after listening to my family's discussion of flinging food at each other, I figured just maybe this was something I needed to take part in. My sister introduced me to "Restaurant City." That's all it took for me to start my hunt of other sims.
Facebook is not just a place to meet up with old friends. It's also a source of social gaming. Send gifts and work on your friends' farms or at their businesses. Online gaming that does not require hours to advance.
So far "Farm Town" is my favorite game on Facebook. No way it will replace my love of "SimFarm." Hey - it's something. You start off small. Plow a field, plant some seeds (more become available as you advance), and harvest the crops. Easy game. You can send a gift to your farmer friends once a day, and they to you. This is a great way to get crops you can't buy on the lower levels. The second social aspect is hiring and being hired to harvest and plow fields. Both you and your friend make more money.
Ah yes, "Restaurant City." The reason I was told I needed to sign up for Facebook. Game is currently in beta. It's not as detailed or as in-depth as a what you would expect from a boxed game. Running a restaurant is fun and easy (a common theme among sims on Facebook). Hire your friends to clean, cook, and wait on customers. Collect ingredients to further your menu by answering a daily quiz, logging in for the freebie, trading, or buying at the market. While you are away your employees are working hard to serve customers. When you come back you may find exhausted employees and lots of cash.
Being a sorority girl is tough work! It takes a lot of energy to socialize. You'll discover that soon once you start organizing events. Your sorority character's looks are customized to your liking. Pick the hair, clothes, and accessories. More are earned through meeting goals. Some events happen without any effort on your part. Just click on "Go," the event happens, and you are notified of the outcome. Other events like casino night or the accessory sale (basically it's "Bejeweled") require you to earn high scores. And of course, what's a group of girls, without some cat fits. Pick a house to fight with and hope you're the winner.
