Is your favorite gamer addicted to "The Sims" games and you don't know what to get them? How about something that will contribute to their obsession. Many of these ideas you may need to check with the recipient. I bet if you listen closely to them when they talk about their Sims you'll know exactly what they want without asking. Gamers playing "The Sims 3" won't want "The Sims 2" stuff packs or expansions.
"The Sims 3"
This is the perfect gift for "The Sims 2" players. Pair it along with a new computer or graphics card, and your gamer will be in heaven. "The Sims 3" gives players a new world to explore, a seamless neighborhood where Sims age together. Doesn't sound like much? To a Sims player this is a huge milestone. The ability to change colors of virtually almost everything is enough reason to buy. Don't like that pink sofa? No problem. It's orange in a couple of steps. Another major feature is the addition of personality traits. Sims will have special interactions and animations based on the traits. You can't go wrong with "The Sims 3."
"The Sims 3 World Adventures" Expansion
"The Sims 3 World Adventures" will be out mid-November, making it the perfect gift for "The Sims 3" player. I don't know a gamer out there that wouldn't want an expansion for their favorite game. Be ready for your gamer to disappear. Three new cultures based on real-life places are waiting to be explored. ("The Sims 3" Required)
"The Sims" Cash Card
The publisher of "The Sims 3" has an online store filled with clothes, hair, and furniture available only online. Simmers will find the cash card to be a treat. Buying furniture through the online store is expensive and not something most gamers will be able to do regularly."The Sims 2 Double Deluxe"
Sure, "The Sims 3" is out. That doesn't mean no one is playing "The Sims 2." The double deluxe edition is a best selling game. Excellent choice for someone who's never played the series, especially young teens.
"The Sims 2 Seasons" Expansion Pack
Snow! Hail! Rain! Lightning! Sunburns! "The Sims 2 Seasons" has it all. One of the most beautifully done expansions, "The Sims 2 Seasons" adds four seasons and new objects and activities to bring together families and add a bit of fun to the Sim world. "The Sims 2" Required.
"The Sims 2" Stuff Packs
Stuff packs come with objects, clothes, and hair based on a theme. They are a bit cheaper than an expansion pack, though they do not come with nearly the amount of content. Currently the stuff packs available are: "The Sims 2 Teen Style," "The Sims 2 Celebration," "The Sims 2 Family Life," "The Sims 2 H&M," "The Sims 2 Glamour Life," and "The Sims 2 Happy Holiday." My favorites are "The Sims 2 Teen Style" and "The Sims 2 H&M," for the new clothing."The Sims 2 Pets" Expansion Pack
"The Sims 2 Pets" adds dogs, cats, birds, and womrats to the Sims' world. The Create-a-Pet screen will allow modification of dogs and cats. The new items of "The Sims 2 Pets" focuses mainly on the pets and their needs, with some new decorations. This expansion doesn't have the depth other expansions have. But has the theme everyone wants. "The Sims 2" Required.
"The Sims 2 Bon Voyage 2" Expansion Pack
Time for Sims to get away from their jobs, or maybe their business if you have "The Sims 2 Open for business," and take their loved ones on vacation. "The Sims 2 Bon Voyage" takes Sims out of their neighborhood and into the mountains, the Far East, or a tropical escape. "The Sims 2" is required.
