"The Sims 2" is the sequel to Will Wright's popular life simulator. Control a family of Sims and their daily routines of going to school, work, and socializing. In the 3D graphical world, Sims go through many of the same life experiences we do. "The Sims 2" is wildly addicting as you try to perfect your families and experiment with interactions between the Sims.

The holiday edition is "The Sims 2" game with the new holiday objects. This is for new owners of "The Sims 2" (especially as a gift for the holiday season). The Holiday Edition, like the original, will have a suggested price of $49.99.

"The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack" is for those who already own "The Sims 2" but want the new holiday objects. The pack will come the 40 new holiday objects. With those objects, Sims will be able to have Santa come, a festive dinner, and decorate for the holiday season.

The "Holiday Party Pack" contains holiday items already released on the official website, new wallpaper, floors, and holiday objects. Most of the objects are Christmas related, with some for New Year's Eve and Hanukkah. The Christmas lights, decorated trees, Santa's cookies, presents, and the other decorations are well done (and a few are a little tacky). For the few objects that come with it, it's overpriced. If you can live without holiday objects, pass on the "Holiday Party Pack."
