Dogs and cats can get jobs in career tracks that have four levels. The pay (especially on the top level) is great in itself, especially when pets get promoted. The extra money is not the only bonus, with each promotion you will unlock content for pets. The unlockables includes fur color, collars, and markings. Not only do you earn the unlockables for yourself, each one comes with a code that you can share with and receive them from friends.

Here's How:
- Unlockable Code: Get an unlockable code from a friend for an item you haven't unlocked yourself.
- Open "The Sims 2 Pets: Start "The Sims 2 Pets" and start one of your neighborhoods. Any neighborhood will do.
- Click on Options: Click on the Options button (3 small dots) in the neighborhood screen. Then choose Game Options.
- Unlockables Icon: There will be a key icon on the bottom right-hand part of the Game Options screen. Click on it.
- Enter Unlockable Code: Click on the icon of the key with the numbers nearby. A dialog box will prompt you to type in the code.
Tips:
- You can share codes with friends who own a console version (PS2, Gamecube, PSP) of "The Sims 2 Pets."
