The seasons of "The Sims 2 Seasons" expansion works much like our seasons, well besides the fact we can't use a weather machine to make it sunny outside. Each season comes with a range of temperature, with overlaps between seasons that typically follow one another.

Because of the overlap, the seasons transition into each other. It doesn't automatically turn frigid because its the first day of winter. It gradually cools, even though seeing snow on the first day of winter is entirely possible or that it snows on the first day of spring.

How to Change Seasons

Seasons can be changed by clicking on the Seasons button in the top left corner of the neighborhood screen (including Downtown and college towns). You can pick any order for the seasons to come. The neighborhood doesn't even have to have all four seasons. Strangetown can be summer all the time.

Spring

  • A time for romance
  • Plant garden
  • Rainy days are ahead

Summer

  • Make friends
  • Hang out by the pool
  • Watch out for heatstroke
  • Summer days are hot!

Autumn

  • Build skills and do homework faster
  • Raking leaves
  • Harvesting garden
  • A cool down from summer

Winter

  • Hang out by the fireplace with family
  • Snowball fights & snow angels
  • Snow days from school
