No-CD patches are used so gamers do not have to keep their game CDs in the drive. Maxis has announced that they will not provide support for gamers who use the no-CD patch or other non-Maxis hacks. So beware, that if the patch does cause problems for you, Maxis will not help you. Another option would be to use virtual CD software to avoid switching disks.
