Description:

The Sims 3: Lunar Lakes is a different type of destination for your Sims, one that finds them in a colony on another world. This exotic location for your Sims was created by the crew of the starship Perigree, a vessel that once carried inquisitive Sims across the cosmos.

Due to a malfunction on the ship, the travelers were left stranded on an alien world. Intent on making the place livable, crew members explored the region and harnessed the power of mysterious crystals to create a colony. Lunar Lakes now features roads, agriculture, and bio-domes designed to support the once fledgling community.

Now it’s up to you to oversee the colony, using science and the world's strange natural resources to improve the lives of your Sims in potentially surprising ways. Your Sims can learn more about the history of the land by embarking on a science career and working on the Perigee.

Among the destinations you’ll be able to visit are a crystal mine filled with rare rocks and gems as well as various biodome parks designed to simulate the look of more earthly venues in Sunset Valley, Appaloosa Plains, and Hidden Springs. You'll also be able to grow vegetables in a community garden and take children to a playground and park.

An all-new gameplay object called the Tree of Prosperity is comprised of floating crystals and can alter its form depending on the time of day. Fruit from this mysterious plant will be able to enhance your Sims’ skills and even fulfill various motives. In total, over 20 items are included with the Lunar Lakes destination, from new clothing types to futuristic furniture options.
