"The Sims 3" : Wishes

Earn Lifetime happiness points by making wishes come true.

By , About.com Guide

You don't get all the control as to what makes your Sim happy. Happiness points are earned by making a Sim's wishes come true. Like our wishes, some are easy to fulfill, others take more than a day to complete. Wishes replace the Wants system found in "The Sims 2."

Wishes

The Wishes panel allows for four wishes to work towards at a time. A fifth slot appears above the active wishes. This slot is for wishes waiting to be accepted or denied. Right-click to accept, life-click to deny. Wishes can be anything from reading 5 books to kissing a spouse. It's common for wishes related to the Lifetime Wish to appear. You advance towards earning the reward and your Sims get happiness points. It's a win-win.

Lifetime Wishes

It takes a Sim their whole life of working towards this wish for it to be accomplished, hence the term Lifetime Wish. Crazy, eh? The lifetime wish is chosen during the teen years and can only be changed by earning the Mid-Life Crisis Lifetime Reward.
