"The Sims Online" Cheats

By , About.com Guide

Many of us use cheats to help us advance through a level or make it past a tough spot in a game. With online multiplayer games, the act of cheating is not as distinct. You must use your own judgment in deciding what is cheating and what isn't.

No Cheat Codes
You'll soon discover that there are no cheat codes to plug in while playing "The Sims Online." What would be the point of having a money cheat? Everyone would be rich and have elaborate homes on large lots. The economic system would be ruined. And as we all know, economic systems are fragile.

Other commonly used cheats, such as the move object or grow grass code, in the offline version won't be found in the online version either. All the building tools you should need can be found right in the game.

Auctions
If you visit Ebay occasionally you may have noticed some people are selling their Sims (accounts) and simoleans for actual cash. Is 10,000 simoleans really worth 10 dollars of your actual cash? Only you can answer this. "The Sims Online" is a competitive game, but are you really "winning" when you buy money, or Sims already perfected?

Plus there is the legal factor. Maxis has a strict process for transfering "The Sims Online" accounts, however it is yet to be set up at the time this article was written. As for selling simoleans online, well there is nothing keeping the seller from not actually giving you the money. You could spend money, and never see what you bought.

Morally Right?
We've always been told cheating is wrong. That we are only cheating ourselves, but what about when it involves other people, such as competing properties. Now there are ways to cheat to earn more money, which I won't go into, because I don't condone the act. Yes, it does take a long time to build skills and earn money. But let's remember it is just a game and earning your popularity and power is more rewarding.
