Top 6 Must Have Sims

By Courtney Marchelletta, About.com

Each year many new sim games are released, but quite frankly, many of them will only hold your attention for a few days. There are a few good ones available, that everyone should have!

1. "SimCity 4 Deluxe"

"SimCity 4" was everything I had hoped for. Create the terrian you've always wanted, build industrial communities, and import a Sim. The gameplay hasn't changed much, but that's not a complaint! The Deluxe version includes the "Rush Hour" expansion pack. This pack makes the game feel complete by adding new transportation modes.

2. "The Sims"

"The Sims" is the most addicting game I have ever played. People who don't know normally like sim games, are now totally addicted. So what is this game all about? You control a family of Sims. You have power over their job, relationships, when they eat, how much sleep they get, and so much more. Building and decorating their homes is one of my favorite things to do.

3. "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002" - Professional Version

"MSFlight Simulator 2002" is the flight simulator to have. This newest version of "Flight Simulator" adds new aircraft and features. The graphics have also been greatly improved, especially for those with low-end machines. The game also comes with lessons to help get a newbie started. Also included is a tool to help you create your own buildings and aircraft.

4. "Madden NFL 2005"

"Madden NFL 2005" is the football game to own. You'll build a stadium, a team, players, and draft your football team. The gameplay has continually been improved upon, in this version the focus was on the defense.

5. "RollerCoaster Tycoon 2"

"RollerCoaster Tycoon 2" builds on the success of the original by adding new editors and themed stalls, shops, and scenery. An excellent addition to any game collection, although it may disappoint owners of the original.

6. "Emperor : Rise of the Middle Kingdom"

"Emperor" moves the city building from the Mediterranean to Ancient China. The game builds on gameplay from previous games in the series, but adds new features special to China. Play multiple dynasties, play online with or against other players, create scenarios, and pay tribute to gods in this city building sim.
