Associate Colleges to Neighborhoods in "The Sims 2 University"

By Courtney Marchelletta, About.com

Each neighborhood in "The Sims 2 University" must have a college associated with it in order for the Sims to attend. The process of associating a college with a neighborhood is an easy process that is only slowed down by how long it takes to load your neighborhood and the new college area.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: < 5 Minutes

Here's How:

  1. Go to the neighborhood you wish to associate a college with.
  2. For the first time visiting a neighborhood after installing "The Sims 2 University," a dialogue box will appear and ask if you want to choose a college for the neighborhood. Click Yes.
  3. Three choices will appear, each with a description and picture. Choose one and click the Play button.
  4. A dialogue box will explain how to get started moving Sims into college. The three ways are using teens from the neighborhood, creating new Sims, or using students from the Sim Bin. Click OK.
  5. You can now read through the background information on the college and the Sims that Maxis has created and placed in the college. Click the Done icon when you are through reading the material.
  6. The college is now ready for your Sims. You can return to neighborhood by clicking the arrow located in the top left corner of the screen. This is a good idea to return before moving teens in, so they can apply for scholarships first.

Tips:

  1. You can associate more than one college for each neighborhood. This is done by clicking the college chooser icon in the neighborhood screen (also how you go to colleges already associated).
  2. Colleges are unique for each neighborhood. Students at Sim State in Pleasantview will not go to college with students from Strangetown.
  3. You can create your own colleges.
