"The Sims 2 University" Academic Potential

By , About.com Guide

Sims do not get out having to earn skill points when they attend university. Just like a regular job, they will be required to earn skills as they progress from semester to semester. In replace of the job menu, there is a section devoted to a Sims grades and skills they need to earn. You will also see a meter with a line. As Sims earn points, the meter fills up. When a Sim's grade points have passed the line, they pass for the semester.

The meter will not be able to be filled up all the way, if the required skill levels haven't been met. Academic potential moves up as skills are earned. Each major requires a different number of skills. Typically during the first semester, a skill point is required in three areas related to a Sims major.

To avoid spending all of a Sims' time in college just earning skills, plan ahead and earn the skills they need to get through college during the teen years, of even when they are children.
