Description:
F1 2011 includes all official teams, drivers and circuits from 2011's FIA Formula One World Championship season.
Making its game debut is Delhi's Jaypee International Race Circuit. Players will also get to race at Nurburgring (in lieu of Hockenheimring), which returns after a one-year absence.
There are 19 Grand Prix in total, taking place in Istanbul, Singapore, Melbourne, Koala Lampur, Budapest, Sao Paulo and more.
Twelve teams and 24 drivers are available to play as or against, from Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button to Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton.
Each Formula One car is designed to handle like its real-life counterpart and will experience damage and the effects of inclement weather. You'll be able to compete in a quick race, career or an online race against digital drivers from around the world.
Career mode has you playing as a rookie Formula One driver. You'll decide whether to gain notoriety with a small team or sign a contract with an already established team. Grand Prix mode has you creating your own personal Formula One schedule with the ability to play as one of the 24 professional drivers. Proving Grounds lets you compare lap times with other owners of the game in your choice of time trial or time attack options.
F1 2011 includes multiplayer support via Internet, LAN and a two-player split-screen option. The Quick Match setting lets you jump right into a game with randomly assigned teams and cars that perform equally. Multiple game types under the Quick Match setting offer several twists on the racing action.
Pole Position, for example, is a 20-minute race where participants vie for the fastest lap time, while Sprint is a three-lap race with a random starting grid. Endurance is a single race with at least one pit stop, a randomized starting grid, and dynamic weather.
Online Grand Prix is single race of seven laps with dynamic weather and a 15-minute qualifying session to determine starting position. Players can also create custom online races with the Custom Grand Prix option. New to F1 2011 is the Co-op Championship mode, where you and a friend can enter a season as teammates.
