Readers Respond: Sim Games That Need a Sequel

Responses: 2

From , former About.com Guide

I've spent many years wishing for a sequel to "SimFarm" and "SimTower." What about you? Is there a game you'd love to see remade with the today's technology?

add two to the list

i agree with all of your suggestions, they were some of my favorite games, and ones i will still go back to now and then. I had several other favorites that i wish they would create something similar to: 1. A-train was the best train sim i have ever used 2. Surf City (the original "the settlers" game) was a lot more fun than any of the sequels, I would like something that goes back to the simplicity of that one and does not focus so much on fighting or war. There are a lot of games out now that are "time management" that i would like, if they would give you more freedom on building. I do not like the pre-set lots, or games where there is no layout and design capabilities. We are in desperate need of a new sim game that is as stimulating as the old ones - bring back the classics!

Yoot Tower = Sim Tower 2

Yoot Saito (along with Will Wright) was the principle designer of Sim Tower and released a game called Yoot Tower in 1998. It's got just about the same interface and was designed as a sequel to Sim Tower.
